In a unexpected crossover event that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.

The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Content

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
