It's tough for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this tournament should hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this victory following victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.
